The Folding Boat
The Folding Boat is a continuing art project that involves salvaging a wooden boat, decommissioning and reassembling as a working sculpture, incorporating sustainable recycling ethics and traditional engineering.
The finished pieces will be a representation of the boats life, where it has travelled from, how it has been recycled, initially the project will be based in Norfolk with view to travelling to coastal regions around the UK. This venture has incorporated my own experiences at sea and a depth of craftsmanship, collating all my skills as an artist.

Oyster 1 was a 15ft wooden 1920's sailing boat, found at Wayford Boatyard in Norfolk. She was cut into sections, the Bow and stern becoming pieces of furniture, the rest of the boat becoming crabs. The final piece was exhibited at The River Waveney Sculpture Trail 2016.
